This turned out to be a more laid back sort of day. Rained overnight so everything was wet again in the morning. Annabelle and I took a couple of strolls down the lane and around the property. She loves to investigate all the possible places a mouse could be hiding. She did find one but it didn’t waste any time disappearing back under the porch.
After researching more possible places for supper we decided to return to our favorite spot so far, Whiskey Teller. Marilyn had her favorite pan-fried haddock once more (she’s gonna turn into a haddock) and I opted for the WT signature chicken, onion rings, and the thing I really went back for, the smoked butter and burnt honey corn bread. Yum Yum.
After supper we took a walk on the boardwalk along the Annapolis River waterfront. Such a gorgeous evening, with barely a breeze, but just right temperature wise. Took a few pictures and enjoyed the scenery then before heading back to the cottage we decided to take a drive to Bridgetown and back.
When we arrived back, I started a fire in the pit in the back yard and we toasted a few marshmallows and made s’mores. Annabelle kept her distance but watched the fire with interest. We moved back inside before dark closed in once more.
Even with the overnight rain, the day looked fine. Glad you got out for a looksee and had a chance for a fire and S’mores.
